🌟 Celebrating Our Main Event Winners! 🏆
Check out our Main Event winners for being respectful, responsible and caring!

Happy Administrative Professional's Day Cindy, Sonia, Maricela and Chelsea! Thank you for your hard work, dedication, and attention to detail that make a world of difference in our buildings.

Today, we celebrate our WLCSD secretaries! They are our office heroes, saving the day by making a child smile, helping a staff member, answering a parent's question, and jumping into action when needed. Thank you for all you do! Happy Administrative Professionals Day!

Today was the last day of School of the Wild for 4th grade. They had the opportunity to do some hiking, learn about birds and different animals, catch frogs, learn to set up a tent, learn to make a fire and made smores of course among so much more throughout the week!

2nd Grade had a lot of fun cleaning up Kimberly Park in celebration of Earth Day! High school students came and helped rake, mulch and pick up trash and sticks.

Reminder to WLCSD Families: There will be no school on Monday, April 21st. Enjoy your 3-day weekend!

A visit from the Muscatine County Conservation in first grade was a great addition to their current unit, Animals & Habitats!

Main Event winners this week! Great job being respectful, responsible and caring!

Our 1st and 2nd grade concert is coming up!

Ms. Berns, from Muscatine County Conservation, visited 1st grade with LIVE ANIMALS! First grade learned about amphibians and reptiles and got to pet some of the animals.

The first day of School of the Wild for 4th grade was a success!

2nd graders used glitter to experiment with how pollination works and cubes to practice measuring objects around the classroom!

Our 1st and 2nd graders are excited to show you what they've been working on!

Happy Assistant Principal's week Mrs. Kruse!

A big congrats to our main event winners this week!

This week is National Assistant Principal Week! We would like to say thank you to ELC & Elementary Assistant Principal Dawn Kruse for all you do to create a positive and welcoming environment for students, staff, and families while encouraging our Comets to learn and grow every day. Happy Assistant Principals Week! #assistantprincipal #highschool #thankyouaps

The third-grade students have been studying the force of gravity this week! They experimented with the speed items fall to Earth, how they are affected by the air around them, and how they react when they fall. They loved it! They had to make predictions about each object, observe it falling, and record the result and why the item reacted the way it did.

Aligned Impact of Muscatine County organized enrichment sessions for our third-grade classes this month.
The first session was with Michelle Berns from Muscatine County Conservation. She brought in tadpoles to examine and helped students identify the parts of a frog's or toad's life cycle.

Kindergarteners were excited to surprise Ms. Bugenhagen for National School Librarian Appreciation Day!
