West Liberty FFA is headed to State Convention taking place tomorrow and Tuesday! There are 7400 students registered, all of which placed in the top 12 in the state, 43 of them will be from West Liberty!
Here are the West Liberty teams that will be competing:
Experience The Action team (Madi Stultz, Grace Ortiz, Audrina Bryant, Payton Murphy, Mia Gingerich, Saira Breceda Audience – Jaylyn Burroughs, Charlie Howard, Madeline Christensen, Evelyn Gillespie, Hailey Yoder, Charlie Howard, Kenley Harned, Madelyn Daehr, Sophia Hayes, Stella Elder, Piper Stagg) will be demonstrating a recruitment presentation for West Liberty FFA. The presentation is full of energy, involving activities and some great music!
Program of Activities team (Brooklyn Buysse, Preston Daufeldt, and Magaly Kivi) will review all of the activities the FFA participated in over the last year. Their speeches are memorized including participation numbers and other statistics.
Ag CSI team (Madi Buysse, Brynn Cassady, Liv Garcia, Chandler Gingerich, Sully Hall, Emma Yoder) will be doing a presentation on how to grow food on Mars. Focusing on six issues that will be encountered and proposed solutions.
Ag Issues team (Mya Elizondo, Paige Werling, Addyson Lehman, Nellie Stagg, David Mahoney, Amerie Alvarado, Dominic Hernandez) will be talking about meat packing facilities and how they are consolidating and monopolizing the industry.
Parliamentary Procedure team (Seth Axsom, Cael Daufeldt, Cole Daufeldt, Ryan Cassady, Pearson Hall) will be demonstrating public meeting rules of order and how to properly execute them.
Mercedes Brockert will be representing West Liberty FFA for Creed Speaking at state.
Tye Miller will be representing West Liberty FFA for Public Speaking with an eight minute prepared speech.
