West Liberty High School is proud to announce longtime assistant coach Brittney Boffeli has been named head volleyball coach (pending School Board approval). Coach Boffeli has been an assistant high school coach for 13 years, along with coaching in the Liberty All-Stars volleyball club for 13 years. Coach Boffeli has also coached at the junior high level while at West Liberty.
“I could not be more excited to be named the next head volleyball coach at West Liberty High School,” Boffeli said. “The success and great tradition of this program is something we have always taken great pride in. Our players, past and present, have worked hard to get this program to where it is. I look forward to working with our current and future players on maintaining the tradition of this program, and we will strive to build on the past success to take the next step in building champions.”
Coach Boffeli has been on the sidelines with the Comets for six state tournament appearances, including two runner-up finishes. During her time as an assistant, the Comets have also claimed five River Valley Conference championships. Along with her coaching experience, Boffeli has taught special education in West Liberty for 14 years.
“I could not be more excited for Coach Boffeli and our volleyball program,” said Adam Loria, Activities Director at West Liberty Schools. “Brittney is valuable to our district on so many levels. That, along with her longtime dedication to our volleyball program as an assistant coach, made her the best candidate to lead our volleyball program.”
