Students represented West Liberty High School at the University of Iowa's Design Dash on Monday. Romeo Lopez Aragon, Katherine Barten, Mercedes Brockert, Oscar Hernandez Flores, Maggie Mahoney, Rodrigo Fierro-Perez, and Mallory Wulf all participated. Maggie and Rodrigo were on a team that the judges selected for the top award. Their project idea centered around improving mental health for youth! All of our students showed definite leadership skills among their groups and very good public speaking skills. Thank you, Jackie Henderson, for making this opportunity possible!

The 2nd Annual Comet Classic Marching Band Competition will take the field this Saturday, October 7th. Bands will be competing from 12:15 - 4:00 pm! Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students. WLHS Marching band will perform at 3:30 p.m.
