The 2nd Annual Comet Classic Marching Band Competition will take the field this Saturday, October 7th. Bands will be competing from 12:15 - 4:00 pm! Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students. WLHS Marching band will perform at 3:30 p.m.


Junior and Senior Parents, join us tomorrow night at 7:00 p.m. in the High School Auditorium to discuss postsecondary planning, career exploration and pathways, financial aid, and graduation requirements! We will see you there!

Class Color Day was capped off with a PowderPuff Volleyball Tournament! The Junior Boys took the championship! Tonight the girls of each class will compete in PowderPuff Football!

Comets stay productive during Homecoming! Mrs. McCulley's AP Stats class took Barbie to a whole new level, determined regression lines, and constructed residual plots to determine how far Barbie could bungee jump without being injured!

West Liberty High Schoolers are reaching new heights in PE! The National Guard visited with their rock climbing wall today and Comets attacked the obstacle just like they always do




Physical activity and play are great for mind and body, whatever your age! New this year at the high school is that students are allowed to go play in the gym for a while after finishing their lunch. It’s been a big hit and we hope it contributes to better focus and attention, as well as fun and stress relief, for WLHS students



Principal Arthur-Miller attended the Iowa Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE) luncheon yesterday. She is a finalist for the National Administrator of the Year and we are still waiting to hear the results. Thank you Principal Arthur-Miller for always supporting your students and participation in Agricultural Education/FFA, Family Consumer Science/FCCLA, and Business/FBLA!
