ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNERS PROGRAM
The West Liberty Community School district offers English language program options to all students in PK-12th grade that might qualify as English Language Learners (ELL). At registration, all students receive a Home Language Survey form that helps the district identify those students that speak a language other than English in their home. The district works with these students and their families to determine if ELL services are needed. An ELL placement test, called the ELPA21 Dynamic Screener, is used along with other tools by the teachers.
