Today is Paraprofessional Appreciation Day! We are kicking it off by announcing that ELC Para, Luann Bjork, received the Iowa State Education Association (ISEA) Education Support Person the Year Award on Saturday in Des Moines! We are very proud of Luann and so grateful that she is a member of our Comet family!
Luann has worked for West Liberty Community School District for 10 years. She works with ELC students every day, often greeting them at the front door and welcoming them to school with a smile! She finds ways to make learning fun and exciting for our young Comets, keeping them engaged and interested in their lessons. Congratulations Luann, and thank you for your dedication to our students!
This is the second consecutive win for West Liberty Community School District as High School Para, Becky Kober, received this award last year! We are so fortunate to have such great staff members working with our Comets each and every day! What a great way to kick off Paraprofessional Appreciation Day!
