As part of the National School Lunch Program, children can qualify for free or reduced-price school meals based on household income and family size. Applications for free or reduced-priced meals may be turned in anytime during the school year. We all know that things can happen at any time causing household income to drop (layoffs, injuries, change in wages, etc.) Please know that whenever a change like this occurs you can apply to see if your children qualify for free or reduced meals.
Did you know that your child(ren)'s free or reduced status applies to things beyond meals?
If your child qualifies for free or reduced meals the benefit that they receive may also extend to fees for school registration, and driver's education. Just be sure to sign the highlighted Waiver towards the bottom of page 2 of the application!
