As the results start to roll in for convention...a West Liberty FFA member just reeled in perhaps the biggest possible accomplishment!
Cael Daufeldt last night was selected as a Star over Iowa Finalist!
He is recognized in the top 16 out of 20,000 FFA members.
The star awards recognize students who have developed outstanding agricultural skills in their supervised agricultural experience programs, competencies through their career development programs and demonstrated outstanding management skills. These finalists will be interviewed and an overall winner in each area will be announced on stage with their teachers, parents, and administrators during the 4th General Session of the Iowa FFA State Leadership Conference.
Notable Accomplishments for Cael include;
- West Liberty Chapter Officer
- Star Freshman Award
- State Champion in Nursery Landscaping and National Qualifier
- State Qualifier and top 3 in 4 leadership development events
- Over 75 hours of community service
- Invested over 3,000 hours in turkey production and turf management
- State Champion in the Poultry Production Proficiency Award
