On Friday, January 29th a bill was signed by Governor Reynolds requiring school districts to provide the option for families to send their children to school five days per week. Due to this change, we will offer two Learning Model choices starting Tuesday, February 16th.
100% In-person Learning
100% Virtual Learning
The Hybrid Learning option will no longer be offered.
While the District’s virtual learning program would continue to operate as they currently are, the on-site model would change. Most notably:
The District would be unable to ensure that all of the health and safety protocols currently in place could be maintained.
The District could not guarantee social distancing of 6 feet between desks in the 100% on-site model.
Class sizes would revert to previous standards (or possibly exceed these levels).
Changes could occur regarding your child’s teacher assignment and/or class schedule.
*The ELC face to face and virtual programs would continue to operate as they have been.
*The mask mandate will remain in place for students attending the 100% In-Person Learning Model
Details and processes for lunch, students moving between classes, elementary specials, recess, and other components of the student day are still being reviewed.
We are asking parents/guardians of students in grades 1-12 to fill out the survey linked below by Sunday, February 7th at 11:59 PM to select the learning model you would like to have for your children.
Please fill out this survey, even if you filled out our previous Learning Choice survey for planning purposes. Students who select 100% Virtual Learning, will be required to continue with this choice until the start of the new trimester on March 12th. Students who select 100% In-Person Learning may be allowed to move to virtual learning at any time, if needed, parents would need to consult with their child’s building administrator to make this change. If you have any questions please contact your child’s building administrator.
