This is a reminder that WLCSD students will be released from school early on Wednesday, May 6th, and Thursday, May 7th. Building release times for both days are the same as our typical Wednesday early release time:

ELC: 1:30 PM

Elementary: 1:35 PM

Middle School: 1:40 PM

High School: 1:45 PM

The early release on Thursday, May 7th, is noted on our 2025-2026 West Liberty School Calendar, which was emailed home to families and published on our website and social media on February 25th, 2025. We are sorry if this has caused any confusion for families. Thank you for your attention to this slight change in our regular school schedule.

NEW walls at WLHS!

The Seal of Biliteracy is an honor awarded to graduating students who demonstrate proficiency in two languages—English and Spanish. Students show their English proficiency through assessments like the ACT, ISASP, or ELPA, and their Spanish proficiency through the AAPPL or AP exams.

West Liberty High School has proudly participated in the Seal of Biliteracy program through the Iowa Department of Education since its launch in 2019. We are incredibly proud of our Dual Language Program and our bilingual students, and we look forward to celebrating even more students as they earn this distinction in the future. Stay tuned for your Class of 2026 names to be posted!

The West Liberty FFA Plant Sale will have extended hours this week with a Mother's Day Closeout special on Saturday! Your flower beds and gardens will thank you for supporting these great students!
